1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GYLL, operated by Reflex System ("we", "us"). By creating an account, or by continuing to use the app as a guest, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use GYLL.

2. Who can use GYLL

GYLL does not require an account to use. If you create an account, you confirm the information you provide (like your email address) is accurate, and that you meet the minimum age requirement described in our Privacy Policy for your country.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account & Data. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

4. Content and accuracy

GYLL's Yorùbá lessons, vocabulary, translations, and cultural notes are compiled from publicly available, cross-referenced sources. All Discover Yorùbá cultural cards have been checked by a native Yorùbá speaker, and the rest of the course's vocabulary and lessons are reviewed by a native Yorùbá speaker on an ongoing basis as content ships and updates. Language is still nuanced and dialects and diaspora usage vary, so treat GYLL as a learning aid, not an authoritative or professional reference, especially for anything consequential (legal, medical, or official-document translation).

We may add, remove, or change lessons, features, or content at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse GYLL — for example, by attempting to access another user's account or data, interfering with the service, reverse-engineering the app beyond what applicable law permits, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The GYLL app, its design, and its original content are owned by Reflex System or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial learning. Yorùbá language itself, and cultural/historical facts referenced in the app, are not owned by anyone and remain freely usable.

7. Rewards, streaks, and virtual items

XP, hearts, streaks, achievements, and cultural cards are virtual, in-app elements with no cash value, are not redeemable for money, and may be reset, adjusted, or removed at any time (for example, to fix a bug or prevent abuse).

8. Disclaimers

GYLL is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific learning goals.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reflex System will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of GYLL.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lagos State, Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continuing to use GYLL after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
